Overview

Karakarum Motorbike Tour is one of the most exciting and thrilling trip to explore the most two most scenic, culturally rich and historical region, Skardu Region and Hunza Valley. In this trip you fly from Islamabad to Skardu, where your motorbikes are ready for the ride, In the first phase you will explore the Skardu region. Skardu is also the getaway to world-famous peaks, K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum I, Gasherbrum II, Masherbrum, Spantik, Hispar Glacier, Trango Towers, Baltoro Glacier, and Concordia. In Skardu, you will explore the local Bazar, visit the Buddha rock, walk to Kharpocho Fort, and experience an ancient style Polo match.

In the 2nd phase of the trip you will drive on your motorbikes from Skardu to Hunza Valley via explore the Gilgit-Baltistan’s Capital Gilgit. Hunza is a mountainous valley in the Gilgit–Baltistan region of Pakistan. Hunza is situated 100Km from Gilgit and stretch to Khunjerab Pass (China Border) at an elevation of around 2,500m to 4733m. Aliabad is the main town while Baltit/ Karimabad is a popular tourist destination because of the spectacular scenery of the surrounding mountains like Ultar Sar, Rakaposhi, Diran Peak and Bublimotin (Ladyfinger Peak), all 6,000 metres (19,685 ft) or higher. Upper Hunza is peaceful and exotic valley offers scenic beauty of valleys, lakes, glaciers, snow-cape Mountains, rivers and utmost hospitable people.

After exploring the entire valley up to Khunjerab Pass (China Border), your journey will end in Gilgit, You will fly back to Islamabad, subject to weather conditions or drive back to Islamabad on Karakarum Highway (KKH).

Day 01: Arrival at the airport in Islamabad, Tour Leaders representatives will be waiting outside the international arrival gate with holding your Group Name printed with Tour Leaders logo. After Greeting and meeting drive to the hotel.
Day 02: Fly to Skardu by PIA flight (approx. 1 hrs), Explore local market and visit upper Kachura Lake and make some short stop for photography.
Day 03: Today we will explore around Skardu, we will visit Skardu craved rock, Satpara lake and Karapocho fort, the fort was built by the king Ali Sher in the end of the sixteenth century, General Zarawar Singh of the Dogra Rajput clan working under the Maharaja Gulab Singh realized the importance of the forts location in the town and so he occupied the fort, it was part of many military complain to annex the area of Baltistan to the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir. The fort was razed to the ground in 1857 under the guidance of Rambir Singh , Mughal emperor Aurangzeb was also tried to occupied the fort, which went in vain, After visiting this historical fort, we will go back to our hotel.
Day 04: Today we will drive to Khaplu which is the most beautiful destination in all of Baltistan region. Before reaching Skhaplu we will visit Cold Desert of Skardu, Shigar fort, Shigar valley and some other villages along the way.
Day 05: Today we will have full day excursion of Hushe valley, we will spend all day visiting the small villages along the way to interact with the locals. Visit the old fort in Machulu and Hushe village. If the weather is good, we can enjoy the view of the mighty Mashaburum peak from Hushe village. In the evening we will drive back to Khaplu.
Day 06: Drive to Karimabad Hunza (6 to 7 hrs), en- route stop at Nanga Parbat view point, Junction point of three greatest mountain ranges, Indus River. Stop for lunch at rakaposhi view point, arrive and transfer to hotel.
Day 07: Full day excursion to Khunjarav National Park visit the Pakistan and china border crossing at Khunjarav Pass, which is 4693m above sea level as one of the world’s highest paved border crossing. We can see some rare wild animals in this area like Ibex, snow leopards if we have good luck. Drive back to Passu, on the way back we will visit Sost and Khyber village if time allows us. Overnight at passu.
Day 08: Today is a day to full enjoy the nature with trekking. We start the day with the long but easy trek to Passu suspension bridge. This bridge is not touristy like Hussaini Bridge and it provides dramatic view over the mountains and river. After crossing the bridge, we continue to trek to the farmland of Passu village where we can see herds of cows/sheep’s grazing on farmland with the back ground of snowcapped mountain.
Day 09: Fly back to Islamabad
Or Departure for Naran or Besham, short stops en-route for lunch and photography, arrive and transfer to the hotel.
Day 10: Explore the Capital Islamabad
Or Drive to Islamabad via Hazara Motorway
Day 11: Transfer to the airport for departure to your home country

In case of Flights Cancellation from Islamabad – Skardu, the group will travel by road from Islamabad to Skardu via overnight stay in Chilas.

Day 01: Departure for Chillas ( approx. 12 to 13 hrs) via Karakorum Highway Or Babusar pass (if the pass is open) KKH is the highest highway in the world, stretching over 1,290km connecting Pakistan and China, is considered as the 8th wonder of the world. The trip to Chillas brings you the amazing landscape of north Pakistan with magnificent mountains and small villages along the mighty indus river. We can also see many decorated trucks on the road to enjoy the traditional art of Pakistan.
Day 02: Today we will drive to Skardu (approx. 6 to 7 hrs) on the Karakurum Highway and then follow the narrow road along the Indus River, en-route we will visit upper Kachura Lake and make some short stop for photography, arrive and transfer to the hotel.
