Trip Introduction

Peshawar is the liveliest and historically rich city of Pakistan. It is the head quarter of the Khyber Pakhtoon Khuwah province. The city lies at the edge of the Historic Khyber pass and bordering with Afghanistan. Peshawar city well known for its historic and cultural values, Many invaders and travelers passing it by, from Central Asia, India and Arabs. There are a number of things to do & Visit in Peshawar. Being an important border city the bazaars of Peshawar have the superb attractions especially The Kissa Khawani Bazaar (Story tellers Bazaar) is the most interesting of all.

There are merchandises from all over central Asia here. Oriental Rugs, Afghan Jewelry, tribal Handicrafts, Wood carving, spices and all kinds of fabrics are available in the city. Peshawar derives its name from a Sanskrit word “Pushpapura” meaning the city of flowers. Peshawar’s flowers were mentioned even in Moghal Emperor Babur’s memoirs.

Chitral is a historical cities and one of most popular tourist destinations. The valley is famous for mountaineering, trekking, fishing and hiking in addition to a number of beautiful tourist spots. However Chitral remains famous throughout the world for the Kalash people who reside in the southwestern part of the country such as Bomboret, Birir and Bumbur. The most important and worth seeing of these sub-valleys are the Kalash valleys, Garam Chashma, Shishi Koh, Mastuj, Laspur, Yarkhun, Tor Khow and Mor Khow. The highest peak in this range of the Hindukush is Terichmir, which lies at a height of 7700m, just 36 miles away in the north-east of Chitral town.

Hunza Valley, is one of the top tourism destination in Pakistan and very popular among the foreign and domestic tourists. It offers exotic natural beauty, colorful traditions, archeological remains of various dynasties and hospitable people. Hunza is a mountainous valley in the Gilgit–Baltistan region of Pakistan. Hunza is situated 100Km from Gilgit and stretch to Khunjerab Pass (China Border) at an elevation of around 2,500m to 4733m.

Aliabad is the main town while Baltit/ Karimabad is a popular tourist destination because of the spectacular scenery of the surrounding mountains like Ultar Sar, Rakaposhi, Diran Peak and Bublimotin (Ladyfinger Peak), all 6,000 metres (19,685 ft) or higher. Upper Hunza is peaceful and exotic valley offers scenic beauty of valleys, lakes, glaciers, snow-cape Mountains, rivers and utmost hospitable people. Day 1: Arrival to Islamabad and meet and greet with our representative. Check-in to the hotel and rest. If time permits we can do a short tour around the city.
Day 2: Proceed to Peshawar and en route visit to confluence of Indus and Kabul River. A prosperous city of Peshawar is very famous for its food and it has oldest recorded history dating back to 539 BC. At lunch we will try a famous dish called Charsi Krai and we continue with a visit of the Old City Center, Peshawar Museum, Bala Hisar Fort, Muhabat Khan Masque and Qissa-Kahwani Bazzar. Overnight at Peshawar.
Day 3: After breakfast drive to Swat and on the way visit to Takht-i-Bahi (Bhuddist Monastry), founded in the 1st Century and attracting many people interested in history, architecture and archeology. We will drive on Malakand pass. After lunch visit to Bhutkda, Churchill Monument and upper Bhuddist sites. The trip today will take about 4-5 hours. Overnight at Swat.
Day 4: Drive to Chitral via Lowari Tunnel or Lowari Pass, on the road you will be able enjoy the Himalayan pastures and gorgeous peaks. Check In to Hindukush Heights and visit to Chitral Mosque and Fort, visit local Bazar, meet local people and enjoy traditional food of soups and bread baked over coal and cultural music. Overnight Hindukush Hieghts.
Day 5: Today we will change vehicle and embark to famous Kalash valley, the inhabitants claim to be the descendants of Alexander the Great, possess unique culture, food, and ceremonies. Depending on the time of the year we may be able to attend one of their festivals. We will visit three famous small villages, Rumbur, Bombarat and Birir, quietly attend their religious ceremonies. Overnight at PTDC Hotel.
Day 6: Shift to first vehicle at Drosh village and drive to Chilas via Shangla Pass, and join Karakoram Highway at Besham and move forward towards Chilas – the first town of Gilgit-Baltistan. On the way we will encounter numerous photogenic sites, follow the legendary Indus River, glimpses of Snow capped Diran and Rakaposhi greets first. Overnight at Chilas..
Day 7: Drive to Gilgit and stop at Chilas petroglyphs site, Nanga Parbat view point. After checking in at Gilgit Serena Hotel visit to local Bazzar, Kargah Bhuddha, if you wish an aerial walk of 2 hours from Kargah to Serena Hotel can be arranged through water channel, gives best aerial view of Gilgit city. Overnight at Gilgit.
Day 8: Drive to Hunza, via Karakoram Highway, on the way visit to Old Silk Road Route, Rakaposhi view point. You will observe the difference between Himalayan greenery and Karakoram dry mountains. In Hunza we will visit Karimabad Bazzar and overnight at Karimabad, don’t miss the sunrise and sun set.
Day 9: Drive to Khunjerab Top. There will be numerous beautiful sites enroute including Passu Cathedrals, Passu glacier, stop at the Pakistan-China immigration station and National Park, where you will have a chance to see Ibex, Marcopolo sheep, Snow Leopard and Markhor. Back using the same road. Overnight at Passu. Enjoy local food and next morning hike to Passu glacier.
Day 10: Day to explore the Passu village and its surrounding area, like walk to Passu Glaciers, village walk and taste the cuisines of the town.
Day 11: Back to Gilgit and on the way visit to Naltar Valley and lake, Over Night in Gilgit.
Day 12: Drive Gilgit to Naran on the way drive through Babusar Pass.  Overnight at Naran.
Day 13: Drive to Islamabd, enroute visit to Shogran, Manshera, and drop at Islamabad hotel.
Day 14: Departing back home and drop off at the airport.
